Maintenance
Multiple services. One vendor. One invoice.
Most facilities teams run a general contractor for projects, a maintenance contractor for repairs, and a cleaning contractor for everything after. Three relationships, three insurance files, three sets of invoices. MARLICON covers all of it — and does the work overnight, so your site opens on time.
Self-performed
What we self-perform.
Our own crews, our own supervision, our own insurance file.
Relamping
Full lamp and ballast changeouts, LED retrofits, scheduled group re-lamping across a portfolio.
Painting
Touch-ups, refresh programs, full repaints, overnight turnarounds.
Drywall and taping
Patching, repairs, board replacement, finished to paint-ready.
Flooring
Removal, repair, and installation.
Lighting and life-safety fixtures
Exit and emergency sign service, light fixture repairs and replacement.
Installations
Mirrors, signage, tables, fixtures, and millwork mounting.
Facility cleaning
High dusting, washroom detailing, floor mopping and scrubbing, post-construction cleanup.
General carpentry
Millwork repairs, doors and hardware, back-of-house rebuilds.
Most facilities teams juggle a general contractor for projects and a separate vendor for repairs. MARLICON does both — one relationship, one insurance file, one invoice format across your portfolio.
Managed trades
What we manage through vetted partners.
We don't self-perform these — we manage them. The work order still closes with us and our management team. You still get one invoice.

FAQ
Frequently asked maintenance questions.
What trades do you self-perform?
Relamping and lighting repairs, commercial painting, drywall and taping, flooring removal and installation, mirror and signage installs, general carpentry, and facility cleaning. Everything else — refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, roofing — we manage through vetted trade partners.
Do you work overnight?
Yes. Most of our retail work happens between store close and store open. We schedule around your trading hours, not the other way around.
What work order systems do you use?
We accept work orders through ServiceChannel, Corrigo, Ecotrak, FEXA, and Verisae, or by phone and email.
What do you deliver on each work order?
Before-and-after photos, check-in and check-out, NTE compliance, and invoicing in your required format.
How do you handle NTE limits?
We work to the not-to-exceed limit set on the work order. If the scope turns out to exceed it, we stop and come back to you with a revised number rather than proceeding.
Do you offer cleaning as well as repairs?
Yes — high dusting, washroom detailing, floor mopping and scrubbing, and post-construction cleanup. Most clients bundle both into a single overnight visit on one invoice.
Can you cover a national portfolio?
Yes, on multi-site programs. We hold the contract, manage vetted regional partners, and report through your work order system, so you deal with one vendor across every province.
What's your emergency response time?
On site within 4 hours for anything that creates a safety risk or stops a site from trading. Dispatch runs 24/7, including statutory holidays.
Do you work on statutory holidays?
Yes. Retail trades through the holidays, so emergency response runs as normal.
How do I set up a maintenance program?
Send us your site list and the trades you need covered. We'll come back with honest coverage, response times, and a capability statement your procurement team can file.
Do you do relamping across multiple sites?
Yes — scheduled group relamping across a portfolio, including LED retrofits, done overnight so stores aren't affected.
What size portfolio do you take on?
Anything from a single location to a national program. Smaller portfolios often get better response times, since scheduling is simpler.
How do you price maintenance work?
Pricing depends on scope, trades, site count, and frequency. Send us your site list and we'll come back with real numbers rather than a rate card that doesn't fit.
